Major duties of a banquet housekeeping aide includes cleaning the room, and cleaning and returning equipment to its proper location. Closing duties include storing all reusable goods, locking doors, breaking down goods, etc. Other responsibilities include setting up, stocking, and maintaining work areas; carrying dirty linen to the proper cleaning place; separating the napkins from tablecloths; restocking linen shelves with cleaning linens. A banquet housekeeping aide assists other departments when required; follows all company and safety and security policies and procedures; reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and completes safety training and certifications. A banquet housekeeping job may require 1+ years of experience in a hotel, club, or any hospitality related sector. Housekeeping experience, including supervisory and/or team leadership may be advantageous. An appropriate hotel/ hospitality/ housekeeping qualification is preferred for such positions.
