Wedding Flower Arranging Courses

Every day is different at our flower arranging course school and today we have just had so much fun working on a fabulous Gothic wedding. I knew as soon as I met my bride to be some months ago that this would not be any ordinary wedding and how right that was. I havent given any real names or place names as my bride values her privacy. Some photos may be available later. The engagement ring is an amazing black gold?spiky design with the occasional little jewel impaled. I think the designer is called Hannah Martin. As soon as I saw it I really wanted to use black flowers and Anna readily agreed. Below a list of some of the flowers used;

Equisetum often called marestail and can be internally wired and bent into various shapes

Cycas palm leaves spiky firm longlasting

Trailing Amaranthus in both green and dark maroon wonderfully velvety which everyone wants to stroke

Budgeting for a wedding photographer

My friend Shannon was torn over how much she wanted to budget for her wedding pictures.  After looking at several of the great wedding photographers in Chicago, she decided that quality was by far, more important than quantity.  There are many photographers who charge lower rates and offer you several options with their wedding packages.  It made sense to her though to get the best person she could afford and have really nice photographs to start with.  After all, who wants a nicely handcraft leather wedding book with lousy photographs.  This is her wedding day and photographs are at the top of the list.

I never thought I would say this, but I know there are some new things I need to learn when it comes to guitar. For a long time, it was something easy to do, and it was fun, and now I am at the level that I need to learn more, or just decide that I am not going to be very good. I looked up guitar alternate picking, and I found out that it might not be as hard as I thought it would be. It is just hard to get started if you are not used to doing anything else.

Old Time Radio Comedy – Abbott and Costello

One of my personal favorite Old Time Radio shows is the ever popular “Abbott and Costello”. You just can’t help laughing at this pair of friends who are always finding themselves in funny situations everywhere they go. The most famous skits they performed was called “Who’s On First”. This is one of the most listened to comedy routines in history. They had their own weekly show starting in 1942. The show was sponsored by Camel cigarettes.

I remember listening to this pair of comedy greats on the radio when I was just a kid. What fun it is to recall these great times.

Inglourious Basterds

Saw this guy’s take on Inglourious Basterds and have to ask why he’s got his knickers in a twist. Yeah, it might not be QT’s best film ever, but it IS still one of the best movies of the year. What else comes close? Avatar was fun and looked amazing, but it’s not exactly best picture of the year material. I’m looking forward to Up In The Air, but come on, Tarantino’s not exactly going to do a movie without guns. Oh, District 9 was awesome, but I still loves me some WWII movies. And $100 million at the box office is a pretty big feat when half your movie is in French and German.

I had a hard time choosing which drum to buy for my father. He is a musician, and he loves playing different instruments. I have always wanted to be like my father and play different instruments. Unfortunately, I do not have his skill. I still love listening to him though. I finally decided to buy an Alexandria Doumbek drum. It is one of a kind, and it also comes in different styles and colors. I am sure that he will be very happy with my gift. That is exactly what I want to happen especially that it is almost his birthday.
