How to Preserve a Wedding Dress
February 28, 2010 8:36 am Home and FamilyYour wedding dress, bruidsjurk in Holland, is worn once in a lifetime. It should be a treasured property to keep. If you want to wear it again, then plan an anniversary wedding. Better yet, you can preserve it for your future daughter to use during her future wedding day. However, keeping a dress for a long time is difficult because of the presence of insects, molds and other destructive entities.
If you are to store the dress within a wooden box, make sure that it is covered first with a colorless and acid free tissue paper. Wood sometime produces certain chemicals harmful to the dress. More importantly, you should periodically expose the wedding dress to air to inspect for any stains or damages.
