One needs a central heating unit while the other can be plugged in when needed. They both have there advantages. The plumbed unit can be control the same as turning on your heating system and the electric is treated more like a space heater except for you are heating up towels. Both options is an accent to your decor and can be used in other rooms besides the bathroom. The bathroom is however, the most common place that these heated towel rails are found.
