New Mining Tools

In any field that is a money maker of course there are going to be different products being developed all the time. I want to know if there is any reason that I should be trying out these new tools or if I should stick to the mining tools and the company that produces them that I have used for years. Sure, I trust the name but I also know that I can be sometimes stagnant and comfortable and not on the cutting edge so I do not want the company that I purchase from to be the same way.
