Immigration Changing from Sea to Land
January 13, 2010 8:50 pm NewsMore and more illegal migrant traffic is shifting from boats trying to land in south Florida to trucks, cars, and vans driving through the US borders. The Federation for American Immigration Reform is pleased with the results of the immigration officials; their apprehensions have increased 19 percent. The officials target cars based on appearance and suspicious behavior. However, even though the results have been great, there are people who are trying to get them to stop because they detain people sometimes because of their appearance. It seems that any step to deter illegal immigration is going to be fought by “advocates” here.
