Celebrating an Adult Baptism

As a pastor it is part of my job to baptize people who want to dedicate their lives to Christ. You might think that an event like this would be limited to babies just like what you always see. The wonderful news is that anyone who wants to renew their life in Christ can be baptized in his name. Believe it or not I have had a good amount of adult baptisms over my many years working as a pastor. More often than not it can be an even more meaningful event than child baptism because the participant is fully aware of what he is doing and understands what it signifies in his life. It is not much different from other baptisms that occur and there is no reason why guests shouldn’t give adult baptism gifts to those who have been baptized.
