February 13, 2010 10:49 am TechnologyI live 250 miles from the Atlantic Ocean and never thought my city would be hit by a hurricane. Yet, that is exactly what happened a few years ago. Hurricane Isabella came inland and destroyed quite a bit in our city. We were without power for a week during one of the hottest times of the year. As I had a new baby, we ended up staying with my parents for a week so Tommy wouldn’t get sick. When we got home, we found our house had flooded as a result of the excessive rains. My computer was destroyed as were many of our pictures of Tommy as a newborn and I was heartbroken. When I first learned about carbonite.com, I immediately signed up so I don’t ever have to go through that again.
